About Amy
I have always believed that healing begins when someone truly feels seen and heard — and that belief is what drives my work every single day. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare, I have had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, from toddlers as young as two to adults navigating some of the most challenging chapters of their lives.
My journey into mental health counseling grew out of a deep passion for holistic healing. Early in my career, I recognized that emotional well-being is inseparable from physical health, and that meaningful change happens when we treat the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. That understanding continues to shape the way I approach every session.
Working with children holds a special place in my heart. Young children often do not have the vocabulary to express what they are feeling, which is why play therapy is such a powerful tool. Through play, art, and creative expression, children can process difficult emotions, build coping skills, and begin to make sense of their world in a way that feels safe and natural. I find it incredibly rewarding to watch a child who came in withdrawn or overwhelmed begin to open up and rediscover their sense of joy.
For my teen and adult clients, I draw from an eclectic range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I take the time to understand your unique story, your strengths, and your goals, and then we build a plan together. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, processing a traumatic experience, or simply feeling stuck, my aim is to help you reconnect with the resilience you already carry within you.
I also incorporate holistic wellness practices into my work because I know that small, intentional shifts — in how we breathe, move, and care for ourselves — can have a profound impact on how we feel. Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, offering tools, perspective, and unwavering support.
If you are looking for a therapist who will meet you or your child exactly where you are, with warmth and without judgment, I would love to connect with you.
