About Brittney
I believe the hardest moments in life are the ones where support matters most. When a crisis arrives without warning, a diagnosis changes your plans, or a major transition leaves you unsure of who you are or where you fit, it can be hard to know where to even begin. I am here to help you find steady ground again, with compassion, understanding, and practical support, so you do not have to find it alone.
I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, and I hold a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling and Disability Studies. That training gives me a unique foundation in career counseling, adjustment to disability, chronic illness, and major life transitions. I understand that emotional wellness rarely exists in isolation. It is woven into your work, your health, your relationships, your identity, and the unexpected changes life brings.
I bring five years of experience in crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, and collaborative safety planning, including work with the national 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. That work taught me to remain calm, present, and supportive when someone feels overwhelmed or uncertain, and it shapes how I show up in every session. I take what you share seriously, I will not rush you, and we will work together on a plan that helps you feel safer and more in control.
My clinical background also includes vocational rehabilitation and managed care, which allows me to approach treatment from a broad, trauma-informed perspective. In our work together, that means looking at the whole picture of your life, not only the symptoms that brought you in, and honoring the experiences that have shaped the way you cope.
Whether you are facing a sudden crisis, adjusting to a major transition, coping with chronic challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to provide a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward. If you are ready to take that first step, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
