What the Fort Myers office is like
Coming to therapy for the first time is easier when you already know what the room looks like. Our Fort Myers office was built to feel like somewhere you can exhale: soft seating, warm light, art rather than diplomas, and a separate play therapy room for children.

Insurance and cost
We are in network with most major plans in Southwest Florida:
Out-of-network with Sunshine Health and Ambetter — credentialing in progress. We provide superbills for potential reimbursement.
Without insurance, a 50-minute session is $175. With insurance, most clients pay only a copay, which depends on the plan and whether the deductible has been met. We verify your benefits before your first session and tell you what to expect, so there is no surprise at the desk.
Psychologist, therapist or psychiatrist?
People searching for help in Fort Myers use these three words as if they mean the same thing. They do not, and knowing the difference saves a phone call.
- A therapist or counselor (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) holds a master's degree and is licensed to provide talk therapy. This is what most people need and what most of our team does.
- A psychologist holds a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD). Psychologists provide therapy and also conduct formal psychological testing. We do not offer psychological testing at this time.
- A psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner is a medical provider who can prescribe and manage medication. Our psychiatric nurse practitioner, Jennifer Taylor, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults 18 and over by telehealth throughout Florida.
Many people work with a therapist and a prescriber at the same time. If that is the right fit, we coordinate it in house.
